Chris Warkentin, Member of Parliament for Grande Prairie-Mackenzie, today reacted to Justin Trudeau’s let down budget.

“Justin Trudeau’s budget continues his attack on Peace Country residents financial future,” said Chris Warkentin.  “Unemployed Canadians hoping to see a plan to create new jobs, workers who have had their wages cut and hours slashed hoping to see a plan to reopen the economy, and families that can’t afford more taxes are all going to be disappointed by this budget.

“The Prime Minister has proposed an out-of-control debt without any plan to create jobs, one that abandons the natural resource sector entirely, and provides no real fiscal anchor. This Ottawa-knows-best approach will continue to lead to ballooning costs of living, higher taxes, growing risk of inflation, and will leave millions of Canadians without hope.”

“Justin Trudeau continues to let Canadians down. This needs to stop,” said Chris Warkentin.  “This is a Liberal re-election plan not an economic plan. Canadians can be confident that only Canada’s Conservatives have a plan that will create long-term opportunity and prosperity and bring back well paying Canadian jobs.”
